Fourteen-year-old Eugene, the central character and narrator of the play, struggles to find his niche in life and within a large extended family that includes his parents, Kate and Jack; his brother, Stanley; his cousins Nora and Laurie; and his widowed Aunt Blanche.
Amongst the humor of BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS, Neil Simon poses a serious question:
